We’re gearing up for the STARL Arena Reveal party on Friday, May 6th from 19:00–00:00 UTC! The music acts are booked and we’ve got a great selection of artists to provide the sounds for our party. The artists playing represent the STARL ethos: ever-exploring and pushing boundaries in art and technology. We will always represent and push for those who strive for the best in their art forms.
For this event, dublab has teamed up with Evar Records to curate the event. The three artists from Evar Records and their schedules are:
Space Master — DJ Set — 19:00–2040 UTC
C.Z. — DJ Set — 2040–2220 UTC
Baseck — Live Synth P.A. Set — 2220–0000 UTC

EVAR Records:
Owned and operated by Aura T-09 & Trickfinger (John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers), EVAR Records is an experimental electronic label emphasizing genre-defying transitory hybrid musical spaces with music for the brain and body alike.
First established in 2020, Evar is multifaceted by design, cultivating a space that embraces the importance of sonic exploration and artistic freedom.

Baseck:
Never one to follow the rules or boundaries of genres, Baseck is a Los Angeles-based experimental electronic musician. His roots run deep in L.A.’s underground rave scene since the mid-90s. Baseck has gained a massive cult following on Instagram (followed by pretty much every synthesizer company that exists), and enormous respect from the underground electronic scene through his live jams and videos of synthesizers, samplers, and other audio gear pushed to the limits.
Since 2013, Baseck has been working with synthesizer companies to design concepts to enhance user playability. Variatic Basicus, a Eurorack module created by Noise Engineering, was built for his live performance needs. DSI’s Tempest analog drum machine includes presets designed by Baseck. His style builds on past musical experiments, combining the 80’s drum machine sounds of Breakdance and Industrial, with a future approach to Drum & Bass and Braindance using both analog and digital hardware. Expect sonic mayhem.

C.Z.
The Los Angeles-based producer, beatmaker, and D.J. sets a course through IDM, techno, jungle, and trance to deliver five frenetic, emotionally-charged dancefloor cuts.
C.Z.’s first appearance on Evar Records follows a series of hard-hitting releases from Speed Dealer Moms, Limewax, and Kilbourne, all artists who, like C.Z., can traverse twisted electronica, club music, and pure abstraction with ease. ‘I want to help encourage a more open electronic music space, less pretentious, and encompassing all genres.’ C.Z. says. ‘It’s an important goal of mine, and one the label shares.’
After years of smuggling techno, trance, and breaks elements into the rap beats he was making for others, he explains: ‘It’s great to come back to music and just make what I love; I don’t want to be someone else’s secret weapon, I want to be my own.’
Space Master:
Space Master is here for the game, the codes, and the master numbers. It is her intention to assist you in coming to a greater understanding of the energy within yourself. With the force of cosmic vibrations radiating throughout the caverns of space and time, new considerations to enhance your world abound.
Providing the connection between Evar Records, the artists, and STARL, is our friends at dublab, a non-profit international collective of DJs who broadcast hundreds of radio programs and have created live audio and visual events worldwide for over 20 years. With a keen eye for talent and forward-thinking DJs and producers, they have continued to push the envelope and direction of live events locally to worldwide. As a result, dublab has become a significant source of influence and respect from many of the top artists in the music industry and has helped shape live events to become more exciting, and vibrant for all who attend.
On top of their vast resume, dublab has been involved in many record releases, film projects, art exhibitions, and event productions, including being the resident DJs at the 2022 Oscar Award Show.🎉
The Grand Arena Reveal will be the first of many experiences in the STARL Universe and a taste of what’s to come.
